Guerssen Records present a reissue of Miguel Abuelo & Nada, originally released in 1975. A stunning blend of psychedelia, hard-rock, and prog-folk courtesy of Miguel Ángel Peralta, aka Miguel Abuelo, the legendary Argentinean rock pioneer. Recorded and released only in France in 1975, featuring some top Argentinean musicians such as killer guitar player Daniel Sbarra. Miguel Abuelo was a musician, poet and singer from Buenos Aires, Argentine. During the '60s, he was the leader of early psychedelic band Los Abuelos de la Nada, who released a highly sought-after 45 in 1968. In the early '70s, Miguel, a free spirit who left Argentina for Europe and ended up busking in Paris. There, he formed a band called Nada featuring guitar player Daniel Sbarra and other expat Argentinean musicians. Supported by their producer, Moshé Naïm, who was fascinated with Miguel's personality and voice, they registered in France their only album, recorded circa 1973 but actually released in 1975 on Moshé's own label, just when the band had decided to part ways. Housed in a beautiful gatefold cover depicting Miguel in full hippie-fashion along with his little child Gato Azul, Miguel Abuelo & Nada is simply one of the best Argentinean rock albums ever recorded. Cleary influenced by bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, and the like, Miguel and Daniel managed to create a very unique sound, powerful yet delicate, highlighted by Miguel's heartfelt vocals (sometimes treated as just another instrument), outstanding guitar playing by Daniel (listen to him doing one of the early known examples of proto-metal tapping on "Tirando Piedras Al Río"), well-crafted songs and deep, poetic lyrics. The album was recorded at a state-of-the-art studio located in the countryside and was carefully produced: electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, flute, keyboards (including Moog), cello, violin. Sadly, the release date kept getting delayed, the band had to go on tour without the album in the street and when it was finally released, Miguel and Daniel had decided to take separate ways. During the '80s, Miguel obtained mainstream success in Argentine until his death in 1988. Miguel Abuelo & Nada is now widely regarded worldwide as a legendary, cult album. Master tape sound. Original artwork in gatefold sleeve; includes insert with lyrics, rare photos, and liner notes by Daniel Sbarra.

Fetch? Yes please!

Great for fetch. Small learning curve to release the ball where you want. Good size for my dog. Comes with a felt ball which is just stupid for fetch--gets so dirty. I like the color, my dog can see blue and she loves when I bring it out. I broke my first one, snapped the neck, but these work great, fine price. The amount of joy my dog gets from it is worth every penny.

Function is great, a bit breakable

This is probably the 3rd or 4th of this we've bought which reflects pros and cons--it is a great thrower, easy to use and great for keeping your hands clean with a dog who loves to play fetch! The con is that they're a bit brittle. We've broken a couple just smacking the plastic against a sidewalk, so you just have to be a little careful. Our puppy chewed on another one and destroyed it, so you might want to keep it out of the reach of your dogs when you're not using it!

Best toy EVER for a very active dog!

This is the best item I've purchased for my young Mini Schnauzer. He absolutely loves that I can now pitch the tennis ball quite a ways and he gets loads of running time. He begs for me to use this toy for him . . . he LOVES it! Easy on the arm as well!

Our dogs love it

On one of our trips to the dog park we saw someone using one of these with their dogs, it looked pretty neat and the ball flew so much farther than by hand. It wasn't very long before our dog got caught up in the excitement and joined the pack running after the tennis ball. Our dog stood with the rest of the dogs at the park staring at the ball in this launcher and waiting for the lady to throw it, once thrown the entire pack raced across the park after the ball,...they loved it! I decided to buy our own after watching and seeing how much fun they were having.
This arrived a couple of days after I ordered it, and what struck me as funny was our dog recognized it as the toy from the dog park as soon as I pulled it out of the box. She couldn't wait to play. There is a small learning curve, but after a few trial throws I got the hang of it. This 26M launcher is a little large for me, it works but seems to work out better for my husband. I am going to order the smaller 18M size for myself.
Both of our dogs had a great time, we had them running all over the place chasing after the ball. It was great being able to tire them out! With this launcher you can throw the ball farther and faster than you can by hand. Being able to scoop the ball up without having to touch it is a bonus, especially when the ball returns full of dirt and dog drool! This ball launcher can also be used with regular tennis balls too so if the ball that comes with the launcher gets lost it is easily replaced. Perfect toy for tiring out our dogs!
*Update 9/24/16- I ordered the Junior 18M, it works so much better for me. The longer length of the 26M was starting to make my wrist sore, however my husband has had no issues. I'm 5'4" and my husband is 6'3" in case this info helps anyone make a decision on which one to buy. I know I went back and forth trying to figure out which one, which is why we now have two. ;)

If you were looking for a sign to buy this, here it is
Color: A) Small 2.5" Ball
If you are looking for a ball that can stand up next to a heavy, aggressive chewer.. this is a good choice. Our Pitbull literally destroyed any and every toy that she gets with the exception of one kind of kong ball. She tore through the kong Frisbees, any kind of squeaker toy, and the wobble wag giggle ball (she usually always ends up destroying these but it takes a few weeks. Today she beat her record and had her brand new ball destroyed within the first 30 minutes of us taking it out of the box). But, this ball she has not been able to destroy. I'd like to believe that the Kong ball she has and this ball are made of the same material. Because they are the only balls she can't ruin. And it's not because of a lack of trying. We have watched her sit there and chew with a side of her mouth for an hour or more, trying to make some kind of indention or tear in it and it just never happened. She loves to chew this thing, chase this thing, sleep with this thing. I most certainly recommend this ball. If it is I'ah proof then it is most certainly, 100% a durable ball and worth every penny
