When: 6pm-9pm
Experience the magic of traditional lost wax jewellery making in a relaxed, hands-on studio setting. This small-group workshop is designed for anyone curious about jewellery making — no experience required.
You'll carve your own ring or pendant from jeweller's wax using traditional tools, guided step-by-step in a calm, supportive environment. Your wax design is then professionally cast and hand-finished by Sally in her Mt Eden studio, resulting in a wearable piece you'll treasure.

What you'll make
You'll create a ring or small pendant using wax carving or build-up techniques.
Some pieces stay simple. Others evolve into more sculptural forms as you work.

This workshop is all about exploration — texture, form, and personal expression. No two pieces are ever the same.
Who this workshop is for
- Absolute beginners — no prior experience needed
- Anyone curious about jewellery making
- Individuals or pairs (maximum 2 people per class)
- Guests aged 16 years and up
You don't need to book with a friend — solo bookings are very welcome.
What's provided
- All wax, tools, and carving materials
- Casting of your piece
- First 7 grams of sterling silver or bronze included
- Hand-finishing of your final piece
- Coffee, tea, water, and homemade cookies
Additional costs (transparent pricing)
- Sterling silver or bronze beyond 7g is charged at $10 per gram + casting fee + GST
- Casting fee is typically $6–8 + GST
- Gold can be used and will be quoted at the day's market rate
- Fine sterling silver chain available for $45
- NZ Courier delivery (Urban $11.50 | Rural $17.50)
- International Courier - will need to be quoted - all tariffs and import duties are the responsibility of the attendee.
Typical weights (after casting):
- Ring: approx. 5–12g
- Pendant: approx. 4–8g
Your piece will be weighed at the end of the session so everything is clear and upfront.
What to bring
- Comfortable clothing
- Flat, closed-toe shoes
- Glasses if you wear them for close detail
- A camera or phone if you'd like to document your process
There is plenty of street parking nearby.
Where we'll be
The workshop is held in my home-based jewellery studio in Mt Eden, Auckland.
You'll have your own dedicated workspace and access to all tools and materials.
Session times may vary slightly depending on the flow of the class — the focus is on process, not rushing.

Great paper good price

This is a solid everyday paper option that does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
The packaging was good—everything arrived in perfect condition with no bent corners or damaged reams. It’s nice not having to deal with warped paper right out of the box.
Printing quality has been consistent. I’ve used it for both home and work printing, and it feeds smoothly through the printer without jams. The brightness is good too—text comes out clear and sharp, and colors look decent for standard copy paper.

Reliable Everyday Printer Paper

This is standard plain printer paper for everyday home use, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do without any issues. I have had no problems with paper jams, ink smudging, or feeding through the printer.
The paper is an average thickness, nothing special, but perfectly fine for printing documents. The color is white. It does not curl, and everything comes out clean and readable. It does not stand out in any particular way, but there is also nothing to complain about. Overall, it is reliable, consistent, and works well for regular home printing needs. I will buy again.
