The fossil measures 30 mm (1.2 inches) across. The ammonite is well preserved on both sides with highly detailed suture lines, ribbing, and some spines. This is the rarer species of this ammonite type and it has a distinctive double row of spines on the outer whorl. A very fine example of an uncommon species.
Around 196 million years old, this fossil would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
