Routed, horizontal lines on the extended landing pad help bats safely grip the piece, and this platform leads to the three cells, each with netting on one side for additional bat resting areas. The lapped, black roof covers the unit and helps absorb heat, while a 0.25" wide ventilation gap near the base aids in regulating the internal temperature. The interior, dividing panels can be removed at the end of each season for maintenance and thorough cleaning, for a lasting piece. The tan tone of the bat house will age to a lovely gray hue over time, and its all cedar body repels rot and insects naturally.
