Author Susan Lundquist and photographer, Frederic Lacroix were in search of the authentic European life after spending a few years in Silicon Valley- and they ran right into it. Just days after moving into their new apartment in the heart of the aptly named Petite France, the oldest and most beautiful neighborhood in the city of Strasbourg in Alsace, they came face to face with a two week garbage strike in a town full of restaurants, a furnished apartment that included creepy critters, and a 90 year old land lord who was proud of his WW II plumbing. They were in over their heads until their neighbor Hossine 'Ben" Bennara invited the couple over for dinner. He gave them advice on everything including local recipes, thus creating a beautiful friendship centered around French cuisine. After this life-changing meeting, the concept of "The Patissier: Recipes and Conversations from Alsace, France" developed naturally-a collection of stories, humor, and meals reflecting Ben's life and family recipes. It's ok. I got it because it looked like it has more cushion and might be more comfortable. Nope. It's the same comfort level as different chairs. My reer still goes numb and gets uncomfortable in this chair. Also, where your arms sit, the chair arms are slightly curved upwards and it causes my chair to be unable to fit under my desk. If they weren't slightly curved, that wouldn't happen. It's just another chair, nothing spectacular.

Solid quality and comfortable

Wonderful quality chair, solid and sturdy, it was easy to put together, the directions were very clear and all the pieces fit together perfectly without issue. It is made of breathable material and I love that the arms flip up easily. You can raise it up or down and it has an adjustable headrest. It also has adjustable lumber support. It rolls easily and the color is the only reason I might return, I think I want a different one instead. The chair is comfortable for a petite person but equally comfortable for a tall person. We have both in our family and it is great for both. The armrests are comfortable and there is really nothing negative to say about this chair at all. Considering the quality, it is a great value for the money.

Exactly the Desk Chair I Was Looking For

had been needing a new desk chair for a while, and this one has been a great addition to my workspace.
