History is recorded in many ways. According to author James Deetz, the past can be seen most fully by studying the small things so often forgotten. Objects such as doorways, gravestones, musical instruments, and even shards of pottery fill in the cracks between large historical events and depict the intricacies of daily life. In his completely revised and expanded edition of In Small Things Forgotten, Deetz has added new sections that more fully acknowledge the presence of women and African Americans in Colonial America. New interpretations of archaeological finds detail how minorities influenced and were affected by the development of the Anglo-American tradition in the years following the settlers' arrival in Plymouth, Massachusetts in 1620. Among Deetz's observations:Subtle changes in building long before the Revolutionary War hinted at the growing independence of the American colonies and their desire to be less like the British.
Records of estate auctions show that many households in Colonial America contained only one chair--underscoring the patriarchal nature of the early American family. All other members of the household sat on stools or the floor.
The excavation of a tiny community of freed slaves in Massachusetts reveals evidence of the transplantation of African culture to North America. Simultaneously a study of American life and an explanation of how American life is studied, In Small Things Forgotten, through the everyday details of ordinary living, colorfully depicts a world hundreds of years in the past.

Good book if you are just getting started with the metaphysical.
Format: Kindle
I was excited to offer a review of this book in exchange for a copy. I have been interested in this topic but had yet to read up on it. It is an easy reading book and provides a good understanding of astral projection and provides steps to start exploring it. It is definitely a beginners book not just a beginners of astral projection. My reasoning for the three stars is the writing in the book goes from an instructional format to a humorous format and back again. The writing format is very inconsistent. There is also quite a bit of discussion around the legitimacy of metaphysical beliefs and other pieces that do not directly relate to astral projection but are necessary pieces to develop the confidence to astral project. Overall, I would recommend this book if you are interested in the topic but have not yet started to dig into other metaphysical topics.

Beautiful Unique Cookbook
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
This cookbook is filled with beautiful recipes, photographs and unique techniques to presenting your bakes. I don’t find the techniques outlined in the book to be at all intimidating, I can’t wait to jump in. With that being said, if decorating/food presentation is not your style then you can just keep it for the lovely macaron, cake and cookie recipes! I’m convinced though, if you can make a successful macaron then you can sponge paint on a cookie or dye a macaron red and throw some seeds on it. Give it a try at least!!
The packaging was also very secure, it came shrink wrapped with a cardboard back so it arrived in perfect condition. I will update the review with more pictures once I have completed some bakes.

Beautiful colors and flavors and incredible looking bakes that are all very doable. Great instructions as well with temperatures in both F and C for wherever you're baking.
