Endeavor Modular Window and Hatch Hanger with Dual Telescoping Ends | Carbon Tech

The Endeavor Modular Window and Hatch Hanger from Carbon Tech represents a significant step forward in the design of versatile paintless dent repair (PDR) support tools. This all-new version builds on the trusted popularity of the original Endeavor hanger by adding modular construction, dual telescoping ends, and multi-function capability, making it an indispensable tool for professional PDR technicians who need adaptability and reliability on every job.

Crafted with Carbon Tech’s hallmark attention to detail and quality, this tool is engineered to provide strong, stable panel support in a wide range of PDR applications. Its modular design breaks down easily for transport and storage, while the dual telescoping ends allow for precise adjustment in tight or hard-to-reach spaces. Two sets of straps are included: one designed specifically for window hanger use, and another for hatch hooks. This dual-function design means you can switch quickly and confidently between support types without needing multiple tools.

With its durable construction and thoughtful features, the Endeavor Modular Window and Hatch Hanger streamlines workflow, improves panel stability, and boosts repair precision. It is made to perform in professional environments where efficiency and quality are essential.

Modular Design for Maximum Flexibility

At the heart of the Endeavor Modular Hanger’s innovation is its modular design. Unlike traditional one-piece window or hatch hangers, this tool breaks down into several components that assemble easily.

  • Detachable Center Section: The long center rod is fully detachable, allowing you to break the tool into smaller, more manageable parts. This is especially useful for technicians who travel or work mobile jobs and need to save space in tool bags or vehicles.

  • Quick Assembly and Disassembly: The modular parts use secure fittings to ensure the tool is sturdy once assembled but simple to take apart without tools. This saves valuable time when switching between job sites or storing the tool after use.

  • Lightweight Components: Each modular piece is made from lightweight, durable materials to keep the overall tool weight manageable without compromising strength or stability.

The modular nature of the Endeavor hanger means technicians no longer have to carry multiple bulky tools for different applications. Instead, they get a single, adaptable system tailored to their needs.

Dual Telescoping Ends for Precise Reach

A key feature setting this hanger apart is its dual telescoping ends, which provide adjustable length and fit in confined or awkward positions.

  • Independent Telescoping: Each end extends independently, allowing technicians to adjust reach on each side based on panel dimensions, mounting points, or working space constraints.

  • Smooth, Secure Adjustment: The telescoping sections slide easily but lock firmly into place to prevent shifting during use. This gives technicians reliable panel support without constant readjustment.

  • Extended Reach: The telescoping ends significantly increase the effective length of the tool, enabling support across larger panels such as hatches, doors, or full window assemblies.

This precise adjustability makes the Endeavor hanger ideal for jobs where exact positioning is critical, such as working near trim, seals, or hinges that require careful protection during dent repair.

Two Sets of Straps for Dual Functionality

The Endeavor Modular Hanger comes with two dedicated strap sets designed to cover the most common panel support needs for PDR technicians.

  • Window Hanger Straps: These straps are crafted to securely grip window edges without causing damage or slipping. Their design provides stable hanging points on various window sizes and shapes, improving technician access behind the glass for dent removal.

  • Hatch Hook Straps: The second set includes sturdy hooks designed for attachment to hatch panels, providing strong and safe holding power. These straps accommodate different hatchback designs, giving technicians the flexibility to support panels while working without removing or risking damage to the hatch itself.

With these interchangeable strap sets, you can switch between window and hatch applications in seconds, eliminating the need to carry multiple hangers or make complicated adjustments on site.

Durable Construction for Professional Use

Carbon Tech is known for producing tools that stand up to demanding professional use, and the Endeavor Modular Hanger is no exception.

  • High-Quality Materials: The center section and telescoping ends are made from premium-grade aluminum alloy that combines lightweight handling with excellent strength and corrosion resistance.

  • Heavy-Duty Straps: The included straps are made from reinforced nylon webbing with secure metal hardware, designed to withstand repeated tension and heavy panel weights without stretching or failure.

  • Robust Locking Mechanisms: All adjustment points use durable locking collars and clamps that maintain their hold under pressure but allow for quick changes when necessary.

  • Precision Machining: The components are precisely machined to tight tolerances to ensure smooth operation and long-term durability.

This construction ensures the hanger provides reliable, stable support on every job, maintaining Carbon Tech’s reputation for dependable tools.

Applications and Use Cases

The versatility of the Endeavor Modular Hanger makes it suitable for a wide range of PDR tasks:

  • Window Support: Provides secure hanging for rear and side windows during dent repairs, improving access to difficult-to-reach dents behind glass.

  • Hatchback Panel Support: Safely holds hatch panels open or steady during repairs without risking damage to hinges or seals.

  • Roof and Quarter Panel Support: Can be adapted for use in supporting larger panels that require adjustable reach and stable hanging.

  • Mobile and Shop Use: Lightweight and modular design makes it perfect for mobile PDR technicians needing compact, adaptable gear, as well as shop environments requiring efficient, reliable setups.

Its flexibility means this hanger reduces the number of tools needed on site, saving space and time while increasing repair precision.

Advantages Over Traditional Hangers

Traditional window or hatch hangers are often bulky, single-purpose tools with limited adjustment capability. The Endeavor Modular Hanger offers several key advantages:

  • Modularity: Unlike fixed-length tools, it breaks down for transport and storage.

  • Dual Telescoping Ends: Provides greater flexibility in length adjustment for tighter fits and better positioning.

  • Dual Strap Sets: Covers window and hatch applications with one tool, cutting down on gear needs.

  • Lightweight Construction: Aluminum alloy and nylon webbing keep weight down, reducing user fatigue.

  • Durability: Made for repeated professional use with corrosion resistance and strong locking mechanisms.

These benefits translate to better job site efficiency and tool longevity.

How to Use the Endeavor Modular Window and Hatch Hanger

  1. Assemble the Tool: Connect the detachable center section with the telescoping ends using the secure fittings.

  2. Select Strap Set: Choose the appropriate straps for your job—window hanger straps for glass panels or hatch hooks for hatchbacks.

  3. Attach Straps: Secure straps around the window edge or hatch panel, making sure the fit is tight but does not damage trim or seals.

  4. Adjust Telescoping Ends: Extend each end to fit the panel width and mounting points. Lock the ends firmly into place.

  5. Position the Tool: Hang or support the panel in the desired location, ensuring stability for repair work.

  6. Perform Repairs: Use your PDR tools behind the supported panel to remove dents efficiently.

  7. Disassemble After Use: Loosen locking collars, retract telescoping ends, detach center section for easy storage or transport.

Following these steps ensures safe, effective panel support with minimal hassle.

Maintenance and Care

To keep your Endeavor Modular Hanger working at peak performance:

  • Regularly Inspect: Check the locking collars and fittings for wear or damage before each use.

  • Clean Straps: Remove dirt and debris from the nylon straps to prevent wear and maintain grip.

  • Lubricate Moving Parts: Apply a light lubricant to telescoping joints for smooth operation, avoiding corrosion.

  • Store Properly: Keep components dry and stored in a protective case or toolbox to avoid damage and rust.

  • Replace Worn Straps: Over time, straps may wear or fray—replace immediately to maintain safe support.

Proper maintenance prolongs tool life and ensures technician safety.

Quality multi display hub
Works as intended, good value for the money and reasonably sized. I am currently running two 4K HDMI monitors on it without an issue. Ready to go out of the box and has a sturdy design, would recommend.

Anker support comes through
Update: Anker support contacted me and provided a new unit. On this one, the video works fine, both via HDMI and DisplayPort. I'm much happier now that the unit, which I do like, works properly. There is still one video-related quirk that can be annoying, though, if you often unplug the external monitor from the hub but leave the hub connected to the computer. When I unplug the external monitor from the hub, the hub doesn't tell the computer that the monitor is no longer connected (the same thing happened with the original faulty unit). Since the external monitor is my primary monitor when connected, this leads to an irritating set of steps ending up with disconnecting the hub. I reported this issue to Anker support and they forwarded it to their engineering group. Initial review: I like the form factor and the many connection options. They all work fine EXCEPT that the video (whether DisplayPort or HDMI) keeps dropping out. The computer (MacBook Pro M1 14" running MacOS 13.0.1) thinks the external monitor is there, but nothing shows on the screen for a few seconds, then it comes back on, then off again. Anker support says to try updating the firmware, but to do that requires a Windows computer with a USB-C port. I do not have access to such a machine, so I'm stuck. Since one of the primary reasons I want a hub is to handle the video, I have to return the unit. This is a real disappointment since I otherwise have been very happy with Anker products.

Incredible Quality, Incredible Results!!
AMAZING!! I use my Samsung Z Fold with a Maono Podcast Soundboard for podcasting. Having the phone charge from the soundboard power passthrough was inadequate to keep the phone charged, and generated "noise" in the path. I got the Anker 565 USB-C hub, and routed the power and signal through the Anker hub. WOW!! My phone remains fully charged throughout the podcast, there is ZERO "noise" in the signal, and I can actually do more than ever expected! The quality of Anker products has been proven with me Over and Over with every single product I have purchased. From high-end 240w USB-C cords, to Power Banks, Power Blocks, Bluetooth Earbuds & Headphones, across the board; I have never been disappointed! I highly recommend Anker, and specifically the Anker 565 USB-C hub!!

Versatile with all the ports you’re looking for.
Compact and really expands your options. I was using one of the ports on the MacBook Pro M1 for a second display and the other for an external drive and then switching back and forth with the charger. This device does all that and only uses one of the ports. Plus there are multiple USB OLD STYLE still available. No external power appears to be necessary, although since I use the Mac power supply in the dedicated power in port I’d think there’d be no issue.

Good product, I suspect, if it works. (Also Marketing Needs Improvement)
UPDATE: Nope, it's just the hub. :( It's either defective or not a good product, which is unfortunate. The stutter issue has been resolved, but I can still not use the dock to push an image to my secondary monitor (1080p). I spent several hours this evening updating drivers for my Lenovo Thinkpad E15 Gen2 (AMD) without success. FYI: This laptop DOES support PD+DP through USB-C, something I confirmed before trying to go down the USB-C route in an attempt to replace my ancient Diamond USB-A dock. An image was never sent to my second monitor, whether connected via HDMI or DP through the hub. In all cases, the monitor IS recognized by Windows, so some information is being communicated, just not an image to the monitor. During every attempt, when the monitor was first plugged in, responsiveness in Windows would stutter, lag, and generally respond slowly to my KB+M inputs until, eventually, the laptop caught up and was OK. I am highly disappointed and am considering returning both products, but the USB-C dock is definitely returning. It would be nice, but I don't need a 100W charger. My hope of replacing my current USB-A dock is diminishing at the price point I was hoping for, so we shall see if it's up to the task of the new 2K monitor I have on the way and go from there. Original: Buyer be cautioned: The Anker 565 USB-C also needs power for itself, which is evident if you think about it, but it's not stated anywhere that I could find, and it may not dawn on you until things aren't working quite right. Lack of power could cause many issues I've read about in reviews. The issue: Mouse movement would stutter every 5-10 seconds. Though Windows recognized my HDMI monitor in Device Manager/Display settings, no image was sent to it through the Anker hub. Current theory: So, the manufacturer's 65W USB-C charger for my laptop cannot FULLY power the hub with one connected HDMI monitor, two USBs, and Ethernet through the USB-C hub. I did not test the two USB devices (Keyboard and headset) as there was little need once the stuttering began, which was immediate. I have an Anker Nano 100W arriving tomorrow, and I will update the review once I've re-tested. Suggestion: My ask to Anker would be to *estimate* the power draw of their dock and list it somewhere with many warnings, etc. If they wanted to go above and beyond and add averages for peripherals and the like, that would be amazing, but if not, I would understand, as I'm sure that information could become dated fast. A power warning would have prompted me to consider the power charging situation, and I may gone with one of their docks (About a $100 increase) instead. But now that I'm annoyed, I'll purchase a 100W charger that I can use for my work laptop and elsewhere as needed. :) They are still getting my money, but not as much. They make amazing products, but small details like this matter to me as a consumer.
