CG ingredient info: At the time of launching the new formula Sculpting Lotion, the full ingredients list was 100% CG approved on the ‘Curlsbot’ & ‘Is It CG’ websites yet those websites now recommend caution for our ingredients list. The Undenatured Ethanol is present in our formula to blend with the ingredient called Sodium Polyitaconate which is a plant resin derived from sugar cane and gives the hold factor (cast). The Sodium Polyitaconate needs a small amount of Undenatured Ethanol to dissolve prior to being added into a formulation.

Even though Undenatured Ethanol is not generally regarded as CG, it is only approximately 1% of the total Sculpting Lotion formula and therefore in our experience will not cause any interference with the ability for curls to hold moisture and is indeed ok to use in the method. We therefore prefer to refer to our Sculpting Lotion as CG Friendly rather than CG approved. If you are following the CGM strictly and prefer to have no Undenatured Ethanol in your products please do not use this product.

Apply to palms of hands and distribute evenly through damp / towel dried hair. Style as desired using a dryer with diffuser for extra body & bounce OR leave to dry naturally for curl definition and frizz control.

Apply to curls after a leave-in product using techniques such as raking, praying hands and scrunching. Diffuse or air dry. Once curls are 100% dry, gently scrunch out the crunch to reveal defined, soft, bouncy curls.

PINK GRAPEFRUIT OIL

Hair & Scalp – Pink Grapefruit Oil promotes healthy hair and enables hair growth. It adds volume and vitality whilst also leaving the hair strands with a fresh and sweet aroma. Grapefruit oil is well known for fighting dandruff and adding a lustrous shine.

Mind & Spirit – Grapefruit Oil is reputed for its ability to uplift and revive the mind. It delivers a much-needed energy boost and may help ease symptoms of stress. Pink Grapefruit Oil may also boost feelings of body acceptance and self-love.

LAVENDER OIL

Hair & Scalp – Lavender Oil’s antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties soothe dry and irritated areas of the skin and scalp, as well as helping to reduce scalp irritations such as dandruff, psoriasis, eczema etc. Lavender Oil also promotes growth of new cells and exerts a balancing action of sebum; thus, it is useful for most skin and hair conditions.

Mind & Spirit – Lavender Oil in its purest form is known for its calming and relaxing properties and may alleviate symptoms of insomnia, stress, anxiety, and tension.

ROSE GERANIUM OIL

Hair & Scalp – Geranium Oil can regulate dryness, excess oil, and the production of sebum. It is well known for neutralising the effects of ‘too much oil’ or ‘too much dryness’ on the hair and skin. It is the key Essential Oil for promoting a healthy scalp!

Mind & Spirit – Geranium Oil stabilises mood and nervous tension, as well as soothing symptoms of menstruation and menopause.
