Guo Pei is a Chinese couturier renowned for her elaborate and meticulous detailing. Embodying heritage fashion, Pei rose to international fame after Rihanna wore one of her most exquisite pieces to the 2015 Met Gala.

Often referred to as China’s ‘Queen of Couture’, Pei has proved her revered status after succeeding as the first guest member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture and the founding member of the Asian Couture Federation.

With her designs often taking years to create, this collaboration highlights our mutual respect for craftsmanship, tradition and authentic luxury.

This rug features an elaborate border design against a neutral wool background. The motif has been woven in a palette of blue silk tones and carefully carved to create the illusion of embroidery. Inspired by architectural filigree, Splendour will introduce a sense of sophistication to any space.
