Installation is quick in fifteen minutes or less, and you don't even have to get in the water. Simply drop the light in, secure and plug its cord into a GFCI-protected outlet. Nearly maintenance-free, the bulb generates heat, preventing growth on the lens. You can also pair the light with a photocell or timer (not included) to ensure nightly operation, which further stimulates the cleaning process. These lights were built to withstand the rigors of harsh environments and commercial applications, and the low-profile design helps to avoid damage from boat motors, cast nets and fishing lines. Replacement bulbs are available in green and clear, as well as blue for use in crystal clear water only. Please note: This fixture is grey, but produces a green light once installed.
