Mohamed Mrabet, born in Tangiers, around 1940. Early he chose the freedom of the street; fisherman, boxer, illiterate storyteller; in 1965 he met Bowles who started taping & translating his stories. Since 1967 fifteen books have been published in eight languages. Mrabet's language is a maze like the thousand alleys of the Medina - seductive, but dangerous - without a guide one is lost in suggestions & allusions. Mrabet says "A tongue tells a thousand truths, but you always only want to hear one." This is a loosely autobiographical novel. Again & again in his story the tension between two cultures becomes clear - they reject themselves like opposite poles, only seldom coming together. Writer, composer, musicologist PAUL BOWLES, born in 1910, is one of the greatest living American writers. He has translated twelve of Mrabet books from Moghrebi. After 25 years, this is their final collaboration. Philip Taaffe, painter, has had major shows in galleries & museums worldwide. His work is in MOMA's permanent collection. He has travelled extensively in North Africa. His photographs taken in Morocco, found images, & numerous 1970s Moroccan 45 record covers, delve into Mrabet's themes poignantly & provocatively.

Good quality and sturdy valet tray. Very soft surface texture that grips items nicely.
Color: Black, Color: Black
This valet tray is beautiful, especially for faux leather. It’s so super soft to the touch, and a great option to hold items that could easily slip or slide around. The texture has a nice way of gripping items in order to keep them in place, even with the sides down. Although having sides up certainly keeps things contained better. It also feels sturdy and very good quality. The buttons on the sides are not only attractive, but they are easy to snap and remain in place perfectly. This is a nice touch to any room, even decorative despite any slight mess it might contain within. I’m personally using it for a few medications and serum bottles on my nightstand. I highly recommend to anyone looking to make a messy space a little more attractive.

Great quality and perfect for everyday use
Color: Brown
I wasn’t expecting much from this valet tray, but it turned out way nicer than I thought. The PU leather looks classy and feels sturdy, and the stitching is clean with no rough edges. I keep it on my nightstand for my watch, keys, and phone, and it’s made my mornings less hectic because everything is in one place now. The sides snap together firmly, so it holds its shape well but can also be flattened for travel. The brown color fits nicely with my desk and dresser too. It’s a simple item, but very practical and looks more expensive than it really is.

Nice personal organizer
Color: Brown, Color: Brown
Perfect size for my entry table. I love having something I can throw my keys and wallet and glasses in and I always know where they are. This looks great. I love how the leather side snap together to make it into a tray. I also really like the included keychain that came with it. It is great for my personal organization for the price I consider it an excellent value
