This is our "Lightweight" 4th GEN Fbody HVAC box delete panel that mounts to the inside of the firewall with factory location holes. You will use your 4 factory bolts for the threaded holes and we supply the extra 6 nuts and bolts for the non threaded holes. The front side facing the engine bay is a gloss resin finish. The back side facing the interior is flat appearing raw carbon.
Our Light Weight panel is slightly heavier that or "Ultra Lightweight"-which we believe is the lightest available delete panel on the market! Our "Lightweight panel comes in at around 13 ounces. If you would like one lighter and don't need the extra stiffness to mount to, check out our "Ultra lightweight".
We offer these panels in two thicknesses. Our Lightweight is designed to be a little stiffer, aiding in the ability to mount components to the panel itself. Components can be mounted to both thicknesses, this panel just adds more.
WARNING! The epoxy resin used to manufacture carbon fiber parts is NOT fire resistant. We have verified the stability of the resin up to 200 degrees F. We use a high quality resin that is commonly found in structural carbon parts. We DID NOT cheap out on our resin choice and use some of the best you can find on the market.
We recommend that any heat source near carbon parts are properly heat treated or wrapped. We are not responsible for damaged carbon or vehicles for improper use of the materials. We will not warranty carbon parts due to heat damage.
