Jones Women’s Stratos Snowboard 2026

The Jones Women’s Stratos Snowboard 2026 is a hybrid all-mountain freeride board with the body of a directional pow charger and the playful soul of a freestyle deck—built for women who want one board that carves hardpack, floats in deep snow, and still feels lively and energetic all over the mountain.

Versatile All-Terrain Freeride Performance

  • Hybrid freeride design: The Women’s Stratos blends a directional freeride shape with a lively, freestyle-inspired flex so you can rail carves, slash powder, and still pop and play on side hits and natural features.
  • Directional shape with 10 mm taper: A slightly wider, longer nose and 10 mm of taper help the tail sink and the nose float in soft snow, making deep days easier, faster, and more controlled without sacrificing groomer performance.
  • All-conditions confidence: On-piste/all-mountain rating of 8/10 and freeride/powder rating of 10/10 means this board is tuned to handle everything from chalky steeps to tracked-out trees and storm-day blower.

Directional Camber/Rocker & 3D Contour for Float + Grip

  • Directional Camber / Rocker profile: Camber between the bindings with more rocker in the nose than the tail gives you powerful edge hold and response underfoot, plus effortless float and easier turn initiation in soft or variable snow.
  • High 3D Contour Base 3.0: A freeride-focused 3D base with spooned nose and tail edges reduces edge catches, smooths out turn transitions, and adds extra surfy float in powder without feeling washy on firmer snow.
  • Progressive sidecut & directional flex: A progressively tightening sidecut and directional flex pattern (slightly stiffer nose and tail) deliver stability at speed, quick edge-to-edge response, and smooth, confidence-inspiring carves.

High-End Construction with Eco-Minded Materials

  • Power Core (bamboo / paulownia / poplar): A triple-density full wood core uses bamboo stringers for pop and torsional stiffness, paulownia to keep the board light and damp, and poplar for a strong, predictable flex.
  • Biax fiberglass + BComp Carbon/Flax stringers: Biax glass keeps the ride fun and forgiving, while carbon/flax stringers add powerful snap, absorb chatter, and reduce reliance on traditional carbon-only layups.
  • Sintered 8000 base with Flip-Flop graphics: A premium, ultra-fast sintered base that’s highly wax-absorbent, durable, and easy to repair, with Flip-Flop colorways that reduce P-Tex waste at the factory.
  • Recycled ABS sidewalls & recycled steel edges: Tough recycled ABS sidewalls and beefy recycled edges boost durability and impact resistance while lowering the board’s environmental footprint.
  • Bio Resin & premium topsheet: A bio-based epoxy and a scratch-resistant topsheet are engineered to handle heavy daily use while cutting CO₂ emissions compared to conventional materials.

On-Snow Feel & Rider Profile

  • Mid-stiff “happy medium” flex: Rated around 3/5 on Jones’ flex scale (roughly a 7/10 feel), the Stratos is powerful and stable at speed but not punishing, ideal for strong intermediate to expert riders.
  • Freestyle x freeride personality: With a freestyle-friendly 5/10 park rating and freeride/powder rating of 10/10, the board is just as happy arcing trenches on groomers as it is surfing through deep tree runs.
  • Float Pack inserts & 2 cm setback: A 20 mm stance setback and extra “Float Pack” inserts let you push your stance way back on the deepest days for maximum nose lift and effortless pow riding.

Who It’s For

The Jones Women’s Stratos is for confident intermediate through expert riders who want a one-board quiver with a freeride backbone and a playful edge. If your ideal day includes early-morning groomer carves, mid-day tree laps, and hunting for pow stashes long after a storm, this is the board you’ll keep reaching for.

A Match Made in Heaven
Format: Hardcover
Marjorie Woollacott has provided the world with an incredible opportunity. The opportunity of merging two parallel universes; the scientific exploration of the brain, mind, consciousness, and awareness with the inner journey of one’s spiritual path of yoga and meditation. Marjorie has had her feet firmly walking the path of science and meditation for over 40 years. She gives her readers what they have been wanting for decades which is a readable resource to understand the complex scientific research of neuroscience and to understand the ancient texts of yoga and meditation. She eloquently explains to the readers how these two worlds were so far apart, and are now communicating and working together to solve the glorious mysteries of the mind, the brain and meditation. This is a match made in heaven. Deep exploration of the mental and spiritual bodies allow the readers to revel in these mysteries and begin to appreciate the unlimited vastness of a human birth. I loved this book and bought the Kindle version, but now realize this is a book I need to have in print so I can easily revisit sections which are worth future contemplation.

An award-winning book exploring the relationship of science and spirituality
Format: Hardcover
This highly engaging, award-winning book is the best introduction for non-specialists that I’ve come across that offers an intelligent alternative to the existential meaningless implicit in the materialist paradigm. Woollacott, a recently retired neuroscientist, takes readers on her quest to reconcile the objective world of her scientific study with the meditation experiences of her personal life. For most of her career, Woollacott kept her subjective experiences separated from scientific work. Having now retired from active scientific research, she now explains in this book how she came to construct a coherent worldview which synthesizes quantum physics, Hindu philosophy, and her own meditation practice. Having read numerous books in this genre, I most appreciated her intelligent exposition of scientific studies for the non-specialist, explaining how she came to favor panpsychism over materialism, all framed within her own life-long journey towards answering life’s biggest questions. I will gladly return to this book frequently as I try to help students consider an alternative to the materialist paradigm.

An Indispensable Guide to the Scientific Argument about the Primacy of Consciousness throughout the Universe!
Format: Hardcover
I couldn't put down this book! It's a fascinating account of one scientist's personal and professional journey to the heart of the mind/brain problem: which is primary? Marjorie Woollacott's account of her own scholarly research and her attempts to integrate her profound experiences of perfect awareness through the path of meditation is a tale for our times. She clearly shows the deficiencies of the current scientific model that postulates that awareness is only a function of brain activity, but more than that she integrates modern physics, in the form of quantum mechanics, with the ancient wisdom of the seers of her chosen spiritual tradition, Kashmir Shaivism, and voila! shows them to be identical in essence, if not in expression. As more people pursue meditation practice as a way to generate deep insights into consciousness, Dr. Woollacott's book is an indispensable guide to the contemporary scientific discussion around these issues. The case studies are moving and her personal journey is just as bold as her scientific work must be. This is "the book of a lifetime" for her, the culmination of years of research, study and contemplation. Bravo!

Woollacott has done an amazing job of beginning to document the nature of the ...
Format: Hardcover
Ms. Woollacott has done an amazing job of beginning to document the nature of the conscious substrate that forms the very foundation of our existence, and she does so in a scientifically responsible fashion. An endeavor of this nature by a professional scientist takes not a small amount of courage because this is a topic that is ignored and often ridiculed by many mainstream scientists. The fact that we have attained a large body of evidence that points ineluctably to the reality of non-corporeal consciousness in the universe is enough to warrant serious investigations into this phenomenon, and hopefully this erudite work and others like it will spur further scholarly investigations into this subject of overarching importance. As an added bonus this book is a thoroughly enjoyable and stimulating read; it's hard to put down once you start reading. This is must read for all people who are curious about the ultimate nature of their being, and by all rights that should include everyone.
