1. Dual-Head Hybrid Base Design
Like its heavier sibling (the TH-Z), the core innovation of the TH-X H is its hybrid dual-base architecture. The bottom of the head is cast to accommodate two completely different video standards seamlessly:

Ball Base Mode: Functions natively as a 65mm half-ball head that drops into standard 65mm bowl tripod leg crowns for rapid horizon leveling.

Flat Base Mode: The center of the leveling ball features a flat profile machined with a standard 3/8"-16 threaded socket. By unscrewing the bottom tie-down claw, you can mount the head flush onto flat surface production gear—such as camera sliders, tabletop dollies, monopods, or jibs—without needing any bulky conversion plates.
2. One-Touch "Drop-In" Sliding Plate System
Libec designed the quick-release tracking framework to accommodate fast-paced shoot environments:

Top-Loading Action: Rather than sliding the camera plate backward from the rear edge of the head, the receiver allows you to drop the camera straight down into the mount from above. It instantly snaps into a primary locked safety engagement.

Manfrotto/Sachtler Compatibility: The sliding balance plate features a 1.2" (30mm) travel adjustment range to counteract front- or back-heavy camera setups. The physical plate dimensions are completely cross-compatible with standard Manfrotto and Sachtler video heads, letting you move your camera package across varied support platforms without changing plates.
