Our master roaster at Gordon st Coffee would always recommend coffee in its natural caffeinated form, however for those of you who like a wee decaf we have our central American coffee decaffeinated using the solvent free swiss water process. Would it surprise you to know that 65% of all decaf coffee is processed using chemicals such as methylene chloride and ethyl acetate (which are use in products that really shouldn't be digested) So us at GSC have decided to go for an eco friendly alternative using fresh clean water and absolutely no chemicals. It does exactly the same if not a better job with chemical decaffeination removing 97% and Swiss water 99.9%.
