Growing up in war torn Poland, their independent trajectories saw them facing down floods, starvation, life in a Siberian work camp, the Gestapo, and exile in Africa, before meeting and falling in love in Scotland, and eventually immigrating to the United States and Canada. Written in their own voices, this short and moving interwoven biography was written for their grandchildren. It was so well-received by family, friends, and the local community, however, that they are making it available to the public at cost. It is a family biography, but one that captures the trials and triumphs of the generation of European immigrants who helped build this country. It is not to be missed by the Polish community or anyone interested in this dramatic period of history.
