The album marks the quintessence of the band's output, opening yet another unexpected door in 40 years of ongoing sound research bya very experimental group of musicians around Blixa Bargeld. This band, like nearly no other, has managed to create a musical cosmos. It has, in fact, built up it's own genre by uniquely combining edgy sound with sophisticated poetry. Appropriately, in the Year of the Rat - the symbol of ingenuity and versatility according to the Chinese zodiac - the band is not resting on the laurels of it's last four decades. Instead, it curiously continues to explore everything that the sound universe has to yield, with one eye on the future and with boundless playfulness. The unique sound and textual landscapes of the band, founded in 1980 in Berlin, reveal the timelessness that Blixa Bargeld, N. U. Unruh, Alexander Hacke, Jochen Arbeit and Rudolph Moser have continuously maintained. And yet, through experimental approaches to songwriting, instruments developed over four decades and collective input, the band sounds remarkably cutting edge within it's own time. In fact, through it's individual brand of music the Einstürzende Neubauten seem to always command each and every manifestation of the here and now - whether industrial in it's early years, the driving beats of the 1990s or it's more considered later work. The verse Wir hatten tausend Ideen / Und alle waren gut (We had a thousand ideas / And all of them were good) from album track Am Landwehrkanal could easily be perceived as the band's description of itself. The sum total is a special compilation: Alles in Allem, Einstürzende Neubauten's first regular studio album in 12 years, presents an incomparable band that defies categorization to create a genre all it's own. Great, comfy bed - so good I bought 2!

My dog loves this bed, I have one at home for him and one in my office at work (in pic). He sleeps so soundly on it. He’s about 7 lbs and it’s a great size for him, he likes to stretch out when he sleeps. It’s a simple, comfy bed good for dogs about 5-12 lbs. You may want to go one size bigger if your dog is 13-22 lbs.

The Kind of Cream That Makes Your Skin Look Smoother, More Refined, and Just… Better

At 52, post-menopausal, with dry, increasingly sensitive skin, I’ve become very selective about creams that promise pore refinement, firming, or smoothing. Those claims can go wrong quickly. A lot of products aimed at “pores” are too drying for mature skin, and a lot of “firming” creams end up feeling heavy, silicone-heavy, or overly cosmetic. This cream surprised me because it manages to feel supportive and refining without pushing the skin too hard.
That balance is exactly why it works so well for me.
First, it’s important to set expectations correctly. This is not a miracle product, and it’s not going to literally shrink pores or dramatically transform the structure of your skin overnight. What it does do — and does very well — is improve the surface quality of the skin. My skin looks smoother, more hydrated, more even, and more refined when I use it consistently. And at this stage, that kind of steady improvement matters far more than dramatic claims.
The texture is one of its strongest points. It has a smooth, elegant cream texture that feels substantial enough to moisturize properly, but it never tips into heavy or greasy. It spreads easily, absorbs well, and leaves the skin looking soft and supported rather than coated. For dry, mature skin, that is not always easy to find. I want comfort, but I do not want a cream that just sits on top of my face and makes everything feel overloaded.
What I notice most with this cream is how it helps my skin look more polished and refined. The skin feels softer to the touch, looks smoother through areas where texture can become more obvious, and has that hydrated, slightly firmer look that makes the whole complexion seem healthier. The effect is subtle, but very real. It’s less about “wow” overnight change and more about waking up and noticing that your skin just looks better behaved.
I also appreciate that this does not feel like a pore product in the harsh, stripping sense. A lot of products marketed around pores are clearly made with oilier, younger skin in mind. This feels much more compatible with skin that is dry and mature. It gives you that smoother, more refined appearance without sacrificing comfort, and that makes it much more useful in a long-term routine.
Another strength is how well it layers. It sits beautifully over serums, doesn’t pill, and works well under sunscreen and makeup. That’s a major point for me, because if a cream disrupts the rest of the routine, it doesn’t matter how good it sounds on paper. This one integrates easily. In fact, I find that makeup sits more smoothly on top of it because the skin underneath looks more even and hydrated.
The packaging is also worth mentioning. I really like the pump bottle format here. It feels hygienic, easy to use, and more practical than repeatedly dipping into a jar. It also makes the product feel more treatment-focused, which suits the formula well.
The scent is minimal and clean, which I prefer. Nothing perfumey, nothing distracting, and nothing that makes the experience feel irritating or overly fragranced.
Value-wise, this sits in a good place for me because it performs like a treatment moisturizer rather than just a basic cream. You’re getting hydration, smoothing, and that more refined skin finish in one step. And because you don’t need a huge amount each time, it should last reasonably well.
For me, this is the kind of cream that earns its place by being consistently useful. It doesn’t overpromise. It doesn’t overwhelm the skin. It simply helps the skin look smoother, more balanced, and more refined over time — and for mature skin, that is often exactly what you want.
