One Mississippi is the first time Brendan went in to a studio to record his very personal songs and present them to us with a full band. A lost masterpiece that gave us a taste of what we had to look forward to.Years before 'Detroit' was the first word on the lips of taste-fakers, hype-stokers, scene-stealers and fame-lords the world over, Brendan Benson's sheep-in-wolves' clothing debut album 'One Mississippi' was the unassuming first shot fired from the city and players that would soon become feted beyond their wildest imagination.From the gallant album-opener 'Tea' (a song which particularly resonated with Japanese fans, of whom hundreds excitedly sent him fan mail containing tea bags) through the propulsive swell of 'Sittin' Pretty' and the undeniable 'hit' of 'Crosseyed' to the quirky 'Insects Rule' (which was jammed on live by Foo Fighters?!?!?)... Benson's craft is fully on display here. With half the songs here cowritten by the estimable Jason Falkner (Jellyfish, Beck), the end result is an unabashed pop album, accentuated by Brendan's brilliant turn of phrase and preternatural ear for a melody. The album also stands out as the first full-length project helmed by venerated super-producer Ethan Johns (Paul McCartney, Kings of Leon) with 'One Mississippi' serving as a unifying point in the careers of Johns, Benson and Falkner that found them all mutually ascendant.Twenty-three years after it's initial release, the Third Man Records reissue of 'One Mississippi' is the FIRST-EVER vinyl pressing of this seminal album.

Lifesaver!

So far so good. I have two cute storage things I use to store my 5 year old’s stuffed animals in, but my daughter still had quite a few left and most of them are big. I found this bean bag stuffed storage cover and my daughter loved the rainbow colored one so I ordered it. It actually fits all of the remaining stuffed animals in it (mostly big ones) and looks like a normal bean bag. It’s cute and was a perfect solution for her huge stuffed animal collection.

This is a fabulous LIGHTWEIGHT blanket exactly as advertised!
This blanket is exactly as described, it is LIGHTWEIGHT meaning it is thinner and cooler than some of the other Berkshire lines of thicker heavier blankets.
I have purchased at least 20 Berkshire blankets/throws for myself and for gifts because they are the absolute best quality at a seriously reasonable price. They are so soft and comfy and they will survive years of regular use and washing.
This one is a gorgeous deep purple and is the perfect weight for our recent 85+ degree days in March with nights that still need more than a sheet but less than a comforter. It measures true to size after a thorough wash/dry cycle and I have had zero shedding issues so I’m not sure what other buyers are doing but please wash your blankets before using them.
The photos show this gorgeous purple in a twin size next to a twin “Ombré Burgundy classic heavyweight” (omg go check that one out) and you can see the purple one is just about half the thickness of the other one which is exactly what I wanted for the hotter summer months coming up.
If you want a thicker blanket, Berkshire makes a lot of them, just look for the ones marked “HEAVYWEIGHT” instead of going through the hassle of returning a blanket that is clearly advertised as a “lightweight soft fuzzy plush blanket or throw” and then getting mad because you got a lightweight soft fuzzy plush blanket or throw 🤣

Beautiful quality, huge, cozy, love it!

I really love this blanket. This blanket is super soft and has a velvety feel to it! It is so comfy! The quality is excellent, it feels beautiful and does not feel cheap at all! I love laying on it and the soft texture, it’s so soft and cozy. It has a nice weight to it but it is not too heavy. It’s very warm. This blanket is honestly huge and that’s the reason I bought it. I bought it for the size. I wanted something large enough to protect my new couch until my dogs learned to stay off of it. They would come in from outside being really excited and jump on the couch, this blanket helps to protect my couch. It does not fall off because it’s large enough to completely cover from the floor to the back behind my couch and my couch is more of an oversized. This blanket washes beautifully, it looks the same as it did when I first bought it after washing. I washed on cold and when I dried I did low heat. I ordered the blue and the color is very nice. I got a great price on this blanket when I bought it, the blue was on sale. I would definitely buy again! I am very happy with it!

Soft, even airdried.

I needed a larger, better match in color to protect my sofa from our pets. It is very soft even after hanging to dry. It dries very quickly. It did not shed in the wash. If you plan to machine dry keep in mind the fact that no or low heat is necessary. The color worked out for my needs. I recommend it.
