In Lone Star Rising, Elmer Kelton (A Texas Legend, according to Texas Governor Rick Perry), brings together the first three books of his acclaimed Texas Ranger saga.

The Buckskin Line introduces Rusty Shannon, the red-haired Comanche captive rescued and adopted by Mike Shannon, who is a member of a Texas ranging company that protects settlers from Indian raids. In the throes of the War Between the States, Rusty joins the Rangers and searches for the renegades who killed his adoptive father.

In Badger Boy, the Rangers are disbanded and Rusty returns to his home on the Red River only to discover that the girl he loves has married another. In a time of personal turmoil as well as the post-war uphheaval in Texas, Rusty's childhood returns to haunt him as he rescues Andy Pickard, called Badger Boy by his Comanche captors.

Andy and Rusty ride together in the newly reformed Rangers in The Way of the Coyote, in a time when Texas is overrun with outlaws, Confederate raiders, Ku Klux Klansmen, and marauding Comanches.

It is great to use if you are trying to understand the ...
Format: Hardcover
I am entering my second year of PA school and I use this book 2-3 times a week. Summary: This is clearly a book for practitioners ONLY (or soon to be). If you are a medical, PA, or NP student, consider delaying buying this book until your 2nd or 3rd year. This book can feel very overwhelming, especially since most of the time you have a quick question and it may take several minutes to find it. It is great to use if you are trying to understand the entire picture of a disease, especially in a clinical context. It starts by giving you 1-2 paragraphs of pathophysiology, then gives you the process of diagnosing, the clinical presentation, the ddx, labs, tx, prognosis, and "pearls" of the disease. I like using this when I am learning about a specific disease for the first time. Please understand, there is no one book that can answer every question of medicine. This however, is as close as you will get with the exception of a few things here and there. Overall, great book to supplement my classroom lectures.

nice sturdy frame
We had a piece of actual wood lane from a bowling alley that i wanted a table made out of. Which made it weigh about 400 pounds, guessing. Our biggest worry about this is the frame holding it up with grandkids around!!! And being able to move it to sit behind it or clean around it when needed. This was what we decided on. Tim said it was super easy to put it together. The height was just a tad taller than our chairs, but there are pieces that can be taken out to accommodate this. When i told my husband it had wheels on it and definitely would aid moving it around. He said oh yeah, that's going to work real well with the weight of this table. And trust me it was said very sarcastically. So, that these worked as well as they have, really impressed him. We have friends that we gave a piece of lane to so they could make a bar in their kitchen out of it. He bought some pipe in town and he paid a heck of a lot more money out than we wanted to put out. So, we were extremely happy to find this. It is sturdy, great value and we are all very happy with it and it looks great! I highly recommend it. I think no matter what you are going to use it for, it is going to fit into any decor.

Quite good!
Quite a solid set of legs. It little flimsier than I had hoped for but we are not moving the table we built around much. The wheels are also quite small. I would purchase again though!
