Puzzled is an elevated effect that was pioneered by master magician Roddy McGhie. It starts by dramatically pouring out a handful of puzzle pieces from a seemingly normal envelope. You can even let a spectator examine them. When assembled the pieces turn out to be a cut-up playing card. You then introduce the notion of a chocolate bar puzzle where a single piece can be removed, but then the pieces can be rearranged and the puzzle remains the same size. Astonishingly a single piece of the playing card puzzle is then removed, yet the puzzle can be rearranged and remains the same size as a standard playing card. You can even remove a piece in the center of the puzzle, and hand it out for examination.
