Care
General Maintenance: Re-pot once every two or three years during spring. They like to become slightly root bound - so don’t worry if they seem to showing some roots through the bottom of the pot. Prone to stem and root rot if the soil is overly wet. Susceptible to mealy bugs. These are best propagated by dividing the root with a few stalks and leaves attached during spring and summer.Temperature: Temperatures between 18º - 27º Celsius are ideal for this plant. Temperatures below 15º will begin to cause discolouration and damage to the leaves.
Light: Lighter coloured aglaonema require more sun than darker varieties. For best results, place your plant in a bright room away from direct sunlight. Enjoys average to high humidity. Increase the humidity in your home via misting or a pebble tray, especially if the room it is in has artificial heating.
Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist at all times. Reduce watering in the winter.
Soil: A peat-based potting soil with perlite or sand mixed in for drainage will work best. Any well-draining potting soil is suitable.
Fertilizer: Feed with a diluted liquid fertilizer once a month during the spring and summer.
