Stone Gray PLA Prime

Polylactic Acid is a biodegradable, eco-friendly plastic, known for its ease of use and low warpage quality. PLA Prime is our high performance PLA 3D printing filament. It is made from Natureworks Ingeo 3D850 and shows improved heat resistance, more toughness, good adhesion and less warping or curling than traditional PLA. PLA was always the go-to basic filament and is still recommended when you start your journey with 3D printing, without needing to change any of your profiles you can up your game by printing with Coex 3D PLA Prime - available in most of our standard PLA colors.  This high performance material will be perfect for that special print or prototype that you've been wanting to make but weren't sure if PLA was the best material for the job.  Please realize though that all grades of PLA will still have limitations. If you truly need high strength and high heat resistance you may want to explore other materials for your project or part.

Recommended Print Settings

Coex 3D recommends the following print settings when printing with our PLA Prime. Settings will vary depending on your specific printing setup.

  • Hotend Temperature: 215 °C - 235 °C
    • Important! This temperature range may seem hotter than you're used to for other PLA filaments. Using 100% virgin resin causes our PLA to require slightly higher printing temperatures.
  • Heated Bed Temperature: 40 °C - 60 °C
    • Note: A heated bed is not a strict requirement when printing PLA, but using one is recommended.
  • Recommended Build Surfaces/Adhesives
    • Glass Build Surface
    • PEI Build Surface
    • Magigoo
    • Painter's Tape
    • Glue Stick
  • Cooling Fan: Recommended. Up to 100% fan speed is advisable when printing PLA.
  • Drying: PLA Prime filament is hygroscopic and will absorb moisture from the air if not stored in a dry environment. If this happens, you may experience under-extrusion/inconsistent extrusion or excess stringing. You may also hear a "popping" sound coming from the hotend during printing. We recommend drying our PLA at 55 °C for at least 3 hours if it has been exposed to excess humidity.

Almost Perfect
If you’ve ever seen these things, the foldable ones are just as good as the standard ones. I just wish when you folded it up there was a way to lock it into that position. When you unfold it to play, you lock it into place with the orange locking slide so it doesn’t fold up on you. But when you’re done playing and fold it up, there’s no way to lock it into that position, it can keep unfolding if you carry it around with you, plus the orange locking slide keeps sliding up and down. It’s not a huge deal, but they could’ve made it better.

Great to keep your dog entertained
Color: Blue
Great toy my 13 month old cane corso absolutely loved it and it kept her entertained forever except she has an extremely strong bite so she was figuring out a way to split it apart so I had to take it away -it’s extremely strong, but not strong enough for the bite of a cane corso but any other dog would love it. I just wish my dog didn’t have such a strong bite and would be able to keep enjoying it since it is a little expensive the only problem with it is that I thought the remote shuts it off, but then her bites were making it come back on, so I don’t know if it was my dog or the toy just doesn’t stay off until you turn it on.

Stopped working within 3 days
Color: Blue
Worked for 3 plays. My 11 week old puppy loved this item. Unfortunately, it only lasted 3 tries before the motor stopped working. $30 for a total of 30 minutes over 3 days is robbery! I'd look at another vendor for the same type of item. We charged it after each attempt but now the motor won't turn on.
