These Peterson Dee Shackles have a standard collar pin or a countersunk pin and are manufactured from Stainless Steel that is EN1008 1.4404 (Marine Grade 316) and is manufactured using the latest technology in electrical upset forging. The Dee Shackles are excellent for lifting applications where a high level of corrosion resistance is required and feature a safety rating of 6:1.

 

The Dee Shackles are available in two different pin types:-

  • Standard Collar Pin (Type A)
  • Countersunk Pin (Type B)

 

Every Shackle is proof tested to 2x its certified working load limit at Peterson's manufacturing facility in the north east of England. All Shackles are manufactured in accordance to machinery directive 2006/42EC. These shackles are available with inspection certificates BS EN 10204 3.1 on request.

I spent probably about an hour putting it together, only to take it right back apart and pack it up to return. The dimples for half the poles were on the wrong side (double and triple checked to make sure they couldn't be spun around. The threaded ends for the wheels were freely spinning on all but 2 wheels, making it impossible to actually tighten them fully. Once it was all put together, the screens could not be folded up to neatly put it aside when not in use. All in all, this was shamefully low quality for the money spent.
