Trimbles have been Governors, US Senators, Supreme Court Justices, State Representatives, Lawyers, Doctors, Generals during the Civil War, Admirals during World War II, and leader of industry. There was an island of the Washington coast that was named Trimble Island. Two sisters in Pennsylvania married Bringham Young as his eighteenth and nineteenth wives.
