During the '80s dancehall era a number of record producers claimed to be the real authentic sound of downtown Kingston but Ossie Thomas's Black Solidarity label, operating out of Delamare Avenue in the heart of the ghetto, was the real deal. Ossie: "This was the start of the '70s when the political rivalry got heated between JLP and the PNP and the shots start fire... I said to myself if you're going die you're going die... from that me not scared of Kingston." This album provides an insightful glimpse into life in these unforgiving Kingston neighborhoods, describing not only the poverty and desperation but also how at times, styles, fashions and the cathartic joys of music and the dancehall could transform this harsh environment into one of joyous celebration. Very good looking shoes
Size: 11, Color: Black/Black
I really like the way these shoes look. They look different yet “well known”, as in, these are regular flat shoes but with a very unique design that make them seem neat and “basic” yet different and stylish. I personally loved them. However, I don’t really understand how so many reviews call these “comfortable”. They are very well made, yes. These definitely promise to last. On the other hand; the fabric feels rather sturdy or rigid. They fit perfectly. For me personally, I have rather narrow feet and these may feel a tad loose, which does not help at all. My feet feel sore after walking on them for some hours and also they feel rather heavy too?
I mean, these shoes are inexplicably heavy.
