The calypso music that was popularized in the '50s was made exclusively by men for a long time, but if there is one queen of the style, it is Calypso Rose. Life hasn't always been easy for the Tobagonian diva, and while she praises a discourse of peace, she remains engaged, condemning social unfairness and the unjust status of women. This all is joyfully sung against a musical background of pure calypso, ska, and soca. After a long career during which she was written more than 800 songs, the dynamic singer, 76 years old at the time of this release, returns with Far From Home, produced by Ivan Duran and featuring the guitar and voice of Manu Chao on three tracks. Two 10"s in gatefold sleeve with CD.

looks good, but doesn't dispense soap very accurately

The pump got clogged up pretty quickly. Had to hit the pump hard, which caused too much soap to come out, too fast, at unpredictable angles. Also, the "stainless steel" surface stains very easily and once it stains, it seems impossible to clean it adequately. Going to replace it.

I have wanted a sponge holder to put inside my sink for a while now. I wanted something attactive and I wanted it to work as it should. Seemed reasonable until I started looking and reading reviews. The biggest complaint appeared to be that these sponge holders do not stay attached to the sink. The reviews for this particular holder were great. Customers stressed cleaning the suction cups and sink before using. I am really glad they did because holder arrived in the packaging with zero instructions. Because I read the reviews I knew what to do and it worked! I am very pleased with this sponge holder. It is attractive, it feels really sturdy and it stays on the side of stainless steel sink just fine.
