Lorraine Grouvel est une céramiste franco-canadienne aujourd’hui basée à Paris. Ses pièces, signées sous le nom de son studio Apollonie Ceramics, se situent dans un univers brut, sobre et empreint de fragilité qui se retrouve aussi dans le choix de ses matériaux.
Lorraine commence à travailler l’argile en 2014 à Montréal où elle intègre un atelier communautaire. De retour à Paris en 2021, elle poursuit ses recherches de formes et de textures.
Travaillant principalement le grès, la porcelaine et la terre papier, elle combine différentes techniques de modelage.
