Pour le premier tour de la belle Alliance populaire, sur les 5 bureaux chalonnais, Chalon vote Arnaud Montebourg (575 votes sur 1330 – 43%). Les Frondeurs, la gauche du PS, A.Montebourg et B. Hamon réalisent 70% des votes. Manuel Valls totalise 20%.
Le secrétaire d’état, Christophe Sirugue, appelle au rassemblement des socialistes, car il y a une place pour le candidat socialiste à la Présidentielle. Ils doivent garder pour le second tour la même dignité qu’au premier tour.
