The base design is an elaborate tapestry element from the opening sequence of the TV show, designed to mimic old carved wood. From concept through sculpting and painting, the Daenerys Bust took 3 months to complete, with both Dark Horse and HBO Licensing supervising the work-in-progress on a daily basis.
