VELATURE is an interior or exterior material which is commonly used as a wash to provide highlights or aging to other decorative finishes such as Marmo Antico or Concrete Art. VELATURE is a masonry preservative for exterior and interior walls, based on modified siloxanic polymers and special additives which gives the product excellent permeability and a high level of water repellency and outdoor resistance. Applying VELATURE over normal emulsion paint or DECORFOND for interior applications, enables chromatic effects to be obtained which resemble antique plastering. As such VELATURE represents an innovative alternative solution to mineral products, since it enables lovely aesthetic finishes to be obtained, which also prove remarkably resistant, without the problems encountered when using lime-based or silicate paints. VELATURE is suitable for protecting and decorating the walls of buildings of architectural interest, in restoring buildings in historical city centres and at the end of dehumidifying restoration projects, or wherever an antiquing finish is required.
