I bought this for my son to introduce him to saying please and thank you in a manner that wasn't me (his mom) or his dad constantly asking him to say it. Now he reads through this book at least once a day (he has for the past 3 months that we've had this book), and he recites to me all the things that you should do and all the things that you shouldn't do. Is he rude?" and instantly he is reminded to not act a certain way. It's much more effective than me asking him to stop. This is a book that should be in every child's library. I read the "top" review here, whatever that means, where the reviewer stated they didst' like the book because it was too negative. That review reeks of a nanny parent; please get over yourself. Give me a break - you are and adult and a parent, you are not your child's friend and a healthy dose of Vitamin NO is exactly what every 2 yr old needs. Highly highly highly recommend for all parents of very young children.
