Nippon: Zaibatsu is een nieuwe editie van Nippon, een vlot economisch meerderhedenspel. Spelers besturen zaibatsu: enorme conglomera­ten van onderling verbonden bedrijven die de Japanse economie aandrijven in het tijdperk van de Industriële Revolutie.

Tijdens het spel investeren spelers in nieuwe industrieën, bouwen ze fabrieken en spoorlijnen, en produceren ze goederen om lokale markten te verzadigen en contracten te vervullen — alles om hun invloed en macht te laten groeien en heersers van het gemoderniseerde land te worden. Spelers zijn vrij in hun speelstijl en winststrategie: ze kiezen zelf waarop ze overwinningspunten scoren, bepalen het tempo met inkomstenbeurten en racen om de meest gunstige fabrieken, markten en bonussen binnen te halen.

Alle kernmechanismen van het oorspronkelijke Nippon zijn aanwezig, maar componenten, illustraties en ontwerp zijn opgewaardeerd, en veel spelelementen zijn herwerkt om het spel in lijn te brengen met moderne trends. Nippon: Zaibatsu introduceert nieuwe grondstoftypen, schepen zijn grondig herzien met nieuwe Iwakura-missieregels, fabrieken zijn veel variabeler, en consolidatiebeurten leveren nieuwe beloningen op — en nog veel meer. The dark blue color will bleed, so wash by themselves the first time. These jeans look amazing - like those that cost WAY more! I promise you will NOT be disappointed. I wonder if I need a fifth pair...
