Serrat de la Plane ist sein Grenache von einer Einzellage bei Calce: alte Buschreben auf Schiefer, biodynamisch bewirtschaftet, radikal minimalistisch vinifiziert. Der 2017er hat fast ein Jahrzehnt Flaschenreife hinter sich und zeigt, was Grenache mit Zeit kann.

Alte Grenache-Reben auf Schieferboden, Spontanvergärung, länger Ausbau in gebrauchtem Holz. Meissner arbeitet ohne Kompromisse — kein Schwefel, kein Schönen, kein Filtrieren. 2017 war im Roussillon ein ausgewogener Jahrgang, weder übermäßig heiß noch kühl.

Reifes Granatrot. In der Nase getrocknete Kirsche, Tabak, Garrigue-Kräuter und ein Hauch Leder. Am Gaumen geschmeidig und komplex — die Tannine sind integriert, die Säure lebendig, der Abgang lang und erdig. Ein Wein, der Reife zeigt, ohne müde zu wirken. Zu Lamm, Wild oder einem rustikalen Cassoulet.
