Das Künstlerbuch widmet sich dem komplexen Verhältnis von individuellem und kollektivem Vergessen in Gesellschaften. Die Geschichte der Menschheit ist geprägt von Konflikten und Gewalt, wie Kolonialisierung und Epidemien. Yangs Werk thematisiert die Notwendigkeit des Vergessens für die Bewältigung traumatischer Erinnerungen und reflektiert zugleich den Verlust von Erinnerungen im ethischen Kontext. Mit zahlreichen Abbildungen und vertiefenden Essays beleuchtet die Publikation zentrale Fragen zu (Un-)Sichtbarkeit und kollektiver Identität. Beleuchtete Buchstaben in einer Mikrolandschaft – ein Beitrag zur aktuellen Debatte über Erinnerungskultur und postkoloniale Theorie in der zeitgenössischen Kunst.Haegue Yang wurde 1971 in Seoul geboren und lebt und arbeitet seit Mitte der 1990er Jahre in Berlin und Seoul. Bekannt für ihre facettenreichen Installationen und Skulpturen, gilt Yang als eine der einflussreichsten Positionen der zeitgenössischen Kunst. Vor kurzem fand eine Retrospektive in der Hayward Gallery in London (2024) statt. Ihre Ausstellung »Through« wird im Oktober 2026 im Dia Beacon eröffnet.

Good Stability, But Quality Could Improve
I bought this bathroom shelf on Amazon and overall, I’m fairly satisfied with the purchase. It is sturdy and holds my items securely without wobbling. The assembly process was straightforward and didn’t take much time. However, I did expect it to be a bit wider based on the pictures, so make sure to double-check the measurements before ordering. I also wish the overall quality of the materials was a little better, as some parts feel slightly less durable than I expected. That said, it still does the job well and serves its purpose. It’s not a bad purchase, especially if you’re looking for something functional and affordable.

These are a a great set of floating shelves! They were easy to install, feel sturdy, and look clean and modern on the wall. Exactly what I needed for my bathroom refresh.

I bought these floating shelves in the color Rustic Brown to replace a bulky storage shelf that was making my bathroom feel cramped, and they completely transformed the space. The wood finish looks much more expensive than I expected, and once installed they gave the bathroom a clean, modern, spa-like feel without taking up visual space.
Installation was straightforward overall. I mounted one screw in the center into a stud and used drywall anchors for the remaining hardware, and the shelves feel very sturdy. They sit flush against the wall and don’t sag or wobble. I especially love how slim they are while still being deep enough to hold everyday bathroom items, decor, candles, skincare, and small baskets.
The color worked perfectly with my bathroom vanity and mirror trim, and the floating design instantly made the room look more organized and intentional. Huge upgrade for a small space.
Definitely recommend if you want functional storage that also looks elevated and minimalist.
