Ojo de Tigre ist ein zu 100% mexikanischer und handwerklich hergesteller Mezcal, der sich seit dem Jahr 2008 in Mexiko und seit 2020 in den Vereinigten Staaten auf dem Markt befindet. Luis Gerardo Mendez, der Gründer der Marke, arbeitet in Zusammenarbeit mit Casa Lumbre täglich daran, den handwerklichen Geist des Mezcals zu erhalten. Der Name Ojo de Tigre wurde von dem Halbedelstein Tigerauge inspiriert. In der Antike wurde das Tigerauge als Amulett getragen in der Hoffnung, dass dieses Schutz und Glück bringt. Der Ojo de Tigre wird in Mexico nach 500 Jahren alter Tradition hergestellt.

Für diesen besonderen Mezcal werden Espadín und Tobalá Agaven verwendet. Nachdem die Pflanze gekocht wurde, wird sie fermentiert und in Copper Stills destilliert.
