Zweifellos war das Projekt Pilatus Commercial Nr. 6, also der PC-6 Porter, das Flugzeug, welches den Namen Pilatus in alle Welt hinausgetragen hat. Seinen Erstflug hatte der Porter im Jahr 1959 und noch im gleichen Jahr präsentierte Pilatus die Maschine am Aérosalon in Paris, was einem Startschuss für eine internationale Karriere gleichkam. Im März 1960 unterstützte Pilatus die Schweizer Himalaya-Expedition mit dem auffällig bemalten PC-6 namens Yeti. Das sorgte für eine weltweite Werbewirkung. Vor allem die Landungen im Himalaya Gebiet auf 5700 m Höhe. Dies sorgte für einen bis heute gültigen Weltrekord und einem Eintrag im Guinnes Buch der Rekorde.

2023: und erneut wird wieder Geschichte geschrieben! Der letzte noch flugfähige Kolbenmotor-Porter wurde von den USA in die Schweiz zurückgeholt. Das Team um die beiden Unternehmer Peter Daetwyler und Beat Roos unterzogen das Flugzeug einer zweijährigen Totalrevision. Weit über 6000 Stunden wurden von dem achtköpfigen Team investiert, mit dem Ziel, den Porter mit der Immatrikulation HB-FAN «Yeti» wieder in die Luft zu kriegen. Da es sich bei allen um Perfektionisten handelt, ist dieses Vorhaben auch auf Anhieb gelungen. Der Yeti ist seither eine Attraktion auf zahlreichen Airshows.

It's that time of year where you start to need a tan. Since I'm not out in the sun much I totally rely on fake and bake. I needed a mitt that would easily apply sunless tanner. The Smith is soft and it does help the product go on nicely. However if you apply too much sunless tanner to the MIT it will soak through and without you knowing it you will have bronze to Orange Palms so just make sure you wash your hands thoroughly. It is definitely not the best MIT in the world but it's also not the worst. I would in fact purchase this again. But remember with also painters you must exfoliate exfoliate and prep the skin before applying it otherwise you will come out looking like a bright orange Sun. That is from personal experience.

It’s truly AMAZING! The self tanning mitt comes with the Black mitt, and disposable gloves. I’ll definitely be using the tanning mitt when applying the sunlabs self tanning products!

Very easy to use, I like the sleek black design with a loop to hang it from hooks to avoid mess! I've been testing this out for a couple weeks now and it's held up considerably well; the material hasn't lost its shape or taken any ugly creases. Washing is a breeze in the sink - I haven't tried in the washing machine yet, but I feel like it'd hold up.
