Im Berlin der frühen 1930er-Jahre schuf Otti Berger als weibliche Einzelunternehmerin Stoffe, die das Verständnis von dem, was Textilien sein und leisten können, grundlegend veränderten. Für ihre Möbelstoff-Designs, Vorhänge, Wandstoffe und Bodenbeläge arbeitete sie eng mit Architekt*innen des Neuen Bauens wie Lilly Reich, Ludwig Hilberseimer und Hans Scharoun zusammen. Sie entwarf für neuartige Gebrauchsansprüche und buchstabierte damit das Zusammenspiel von Ästhetik und Funktion neu aus – mit faszinierenden Ergebnissen, die bis heute ästhetisch und funktional überzeugen. Bergers textiles Werk ist bislang nur wenig erforscht, der Künstlerin Judith Raum gelingt es hier erstmals, die Komplexität und Schönheit ihrer Gewebe umfassend darzustellen und zu neuem Leben zu erwecken.

OTTI BERGER (1898 – 1944) war eine der bedeutendsten Textilgestalter*innen des 20. Jahrhunderts. Geboren in Zmajevac, im damaligen ungarischen Königreich Kroatien, studierte sie von 1921 – 1926 in Zagreb, ab 1927 am Bauhaus in Dessau. Nach ihrer Lehrtätigkeit am Bauhaus machte sie sich 1932 in Berlin selbstständig und entwarf europaweit Stoffkollektionen für den modernen Innenraum. 1936 wurde sie als Jüdin mit Berufsverbot belegt, Fluchtversuche nach England und in die USA scheiterten. Sie wurde 1944 aus Kroatien nach Auschwitz deportiert und dort ermordet. 

Die bildende Künstlerin und Kunstwissenschaftlerin JUDITH RAUM (*1977) ist infolge mehrerer Forschungsprojekte zur Textilwerkstatt am Bauhaus Spezialistin für Otti Bergers Werk. Dieses Buch schließt ihr mehrjähriges Kooperationsprojekt mit dem Bauhaus-Archiv Berlin ab, für das sie Bergers auf Archive weltweit verstreuten Nachlass erstmals umfassend erforscht hat.

Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
