Cadenhead's Spanish Rum 17 Jahre

Besonderheiten: Cadenhead's Spanish Rum 17 Jahre wird von J & A Mitchell & Co Ltd. hergestellt, Schottlands ältester unabhängiger Abfüller, der 1842 in Aberdeen gegründet wurde. Dieser Rum reifte für 17 Jahre in Eichenfässern und wird ohne Kältefiltrierung und ohne Farbstoffzusätze abgefüllt, was den authentischen Charakter des Rums bewahrt. Er wurde 2007 destilliert und im Mai 2024 abgefüllt. Mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 46% präsentiert sich dieser Rum in natürlicher Farbe.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nase: In der Nase entfalten sich Aromen von Banane, Karamelltoffee, Lakritz, Cola, Kiefernadeln und klebrigem Karamellpudding.
  • Gaumen: Am Gaumen zeigt sich eine Kombination aus Zimt, frittierter Banane, Orangenschale und kandiertem Ingwer.
  • Abgang: Im Abgang kommen Noten von Muskatnuss, Sevilla-Orangen und weiterem Karamell zur Geltung.

Maestro House Mini Coffee Scale
I have begun to drink tea, pu’erh tea to be specific. I have several varieties and I have had a problem with getting consistent results. The varieties can be very different in size depending on when the leaves are harvested (leaves harvested in spring are much smaller). So the easiest way to get consistent results is by weight. This scale is very easy to use with a ceramic tea scoop, set the tea scoop on the scale, zero it out and add tea leaves. This has made my results much better, without the wild swings in strength I had been getting before trying to eyeball even measures. This scale gives me accurate measurements to one tenth of a gram.
