Geschichte:
Hier konnte ich unzählige Seevögel, Seerobben und sogar Pinguine beobachten.

Während unserer 4-wöchigen Reise von Lima bis in ein kleines Dorf in den Anden übernachteten wir an verschiedenen Orten und erkundeten die Umgebung. In einer Nacht gab es sogar eine Schießerei neben unserem Hotel. Auch in der Nähe des kleinen Dorfes in den Anden wurde nachts ein Taxibus überfallen.

Wir flogen sogar nach Cusco, bestiegen den Machu Picchu - die anstrengendste Erfahrung meines Lebens, besichtigten viele Inka-Ruinen und fuhren zur Huacachina-Oase. Die Besteigung des Machu Picchus war deshalb so anstrengend, weil der Gipfel über 3000m liegt und der Sauerstoff so hoch oben etwas knapp ist. Dazu noch über 2000 steile Treppenstufen. Aber ich habe es geschafft. 

Unterwegs war ich mit dem Cousin meiner Mutter und seiner Familie. Seine Frau stammt gebürtig aus Peru, aus dem kleinen Dorf in den Anden, wo wir ihre Mutter besuchten und zwei Wochen lang lebten. Es war eine tolle Erfahrung, und ich war froh, in einer kleinen Gruppe zu reisen, die perfekt Spanisch sprach. Andernfalls hätte es sicherlich noch andere Herausforderungen gegeben.

Ok so I never write reviews but this book was so good I felt the need to write this. Firstly your introduced to Huntyr you see her closed off hard core badass than towards the end you see the most subtle change and growth it’s amazing and the enemies to friends to lovers was just perfect, AND THE TWIST AT THE END GOT ME GOOD! You see one spicy scene the whole book but it doesn’t even MATTER BECAUSE THE BOOK WAS THAT GOOD. I’ve read 85 books in 2023-2024 so far and I’m pround to say this is my all time favorite. I’m so excited to read more of Emily Blackwoods books, this was my first time reading one of hers and I’m glad I did because HOLY!! Well done Emily well done

The tension and banter between Huntyr and Wold was delectable. I absolutely love the fallen angel and all of his flaws. Huntyr is amazing too being a badass FMC with some major trauma. The world building was great and I enjoyed the training aspect of the story. The writing was immersive and was in the story the whole time. The ending had quite a twist that I hadn’t anticipated and made my jaw DROP. Excellent job! I also loved the narration. Laura is one of my fave narrators!

Why do I suddenly want nothing more than a tiny wyvern to snuggle with?! It’s adorable and I absolutely love all of those moments! Wings of Stars was everything I’ve come expect from this powerful author duo. The fact that it’s written by two different people is completely transparent to the reader and they’ve brought us another world and characters that we’re all emotionally connected to and fully invested in! The injustice that we see from Alfemir in the many forms in which it comes is infuriating and makes me desperate for the conclusion of the story so they can all get what’s coming to them! I love all the guys right now, with one exception, and if you’re read it, you know exactly who I’m talking about. Bastian is hilarious - he was the comedic relief through an otherwise quite serious story. My heart bleeds for him and I can’t wait to see how he progresses through the series. Parts of Wings of Stars were unexpectedly emotional and of course I was left with my jaw on the floor at that cliffhanger! Next, please!

First, let me say that I love both of these authors. I have been hooked by both ever since I discovered their writings, and I follow their social media groups closely. This book did not disappoint. Sure, there are several questions that I have, a couple of times I went huh (which I won't get into because I do not want to offer any spoilers) and I hated the cliff hanger lol, but I cannot lie and say I didn't love the book, because I did. The twist on angels was new and fresh, even though that is part of my questions. The beginning and ending were the better parts, the middle was needed but sorta bogged a little. Kieran was confusing but relatable. Niz is BY FAR the best character of the book, love NIZ. For me, Bastian is a close second, always loved the crazy ones. The other men were good, but Steele gets on my nerves and as of right now, IMO, he doesn't belong, but we will see how that goes. I have lots of questions, but this was an excellent start to a new series and I cannot wait for the next book. Highly recommend
