Hilarious Nonfiction!

I'm always on the lookout for a nonfiction book that will grab the students' attention. This is it! The author does a great job of melding accurate information with a fun format. Of course, there's also the narrative tension of not knowing the superpower until the very end, so readers never stop turning the pages. Am excited to see this is a series. Kids will LOVE this book. I'm an adult and I LOVED this book! Try it out ... just say "stinkbird" and "superpower" to a kid and see what happens. I'm 99.9% sure that you'll be purchasing this book OR that you'll be on your way to the library. It's adorable! It's humorous! Here's to Stinkbird!

I love a story where I learn something new. I think young readers will delight in following Baby Stinkbird as he discovers his superpower. While he has many amazing traits, like his poopy smell and falling into a river (both of which keep him safe from predators), he has one fabulous talent that no other baby birds have.
